  • You keep acting like your choice is different. It’s the same result. You ain’t organizing a protest vote. You’re talking up a sit in.

Name a candidate. Push for an actual protest vote. The rest of your nonsense is the same milquetoast critique we’ve seen trotted out every election for at least the 3 decades I’ve been voting. You stand for nothing. Just a popcorn fart you’re confusing with actual discourse. It’s easy to offer criticism, but you’re just another finger pointer who noticed people ain’t doing shit and your solution is to not do shit.

    Get over yourself.

  • Dexter Lawerence on the Bengals. Dude is a game changer and I’m excited to see how his presence helps our guys on the Edge and especially the LBs. A lot of noise about how bad the 2 rookies were last year, but we had zero pressure most of the time and they were hosed from the jump. I’m generally high on the secondary, if not the depth. I really think this revamped line is going to let the rest of the Defense be great at what they’re good at.

Offense is almost a full runback of a consistently great squad. The O-line settled in alright last season and while I’m a little concerned about OBJ losing a step, Mims’ rise and the improved interior play should hopefully give Burrow some more breathing room. And also hopefully he’ll learn to throw it away like Flacco did last year. I love the hero ball, but I like him upright more.

  • You are fundamentally misunderstanding.

Trans people, men or women, present the way they feel. And, until this bullshit bathroom law, would do exactly as you are saying, they would use the restrooms that matched the gender they present as. But this law makes that illegal. Now they are told to use the bathrooms that match their birth gender.

Now they comply and the cops still get called.

All of this was called out when these dipshit bills were being passed too. And let’s be real, some women look butch and some men can have slighter features. They also get caught up in this trans panic bullshit.

These laws were made to remove certain people from public spaces. Trans people can’t legally go to the bathroom if it doesn’t match their birth gender, and when they do they still get chased out because they do not look like their birth gender anymore.

Millions of dollars focused on specific genitals pissing and shitting in specific toilets.

  • AI is basically a slippery slope in all directions surrounded by pitfalls it misuse and abuse. People are too quick to trust it. I think a syllabus that includes a lesson warning people as early as possible about the dangers/risks is a good idea that is still relevant to the course. An ethics class for the deep dive is a fine idea, but I don’t think a chapter on analyzing this stuff in an Intro course is that out of bounds. Intro should at least address it, or at the very least not considered a waste of time.

  • I don’t see people giving up on it anytime soon. I do think eventually it will serve some kind of purpose or be refined enough to be reliable in some way. I think far too many people jumped into this stuff with both feet thinking the future is now and skipped over creating shortcuts for tasks in an effort to take shortcuts for profits.

And there are plenty of people who are willing to use and abuse this tech for nefarious purposes. Deep fakes, fraud, etc. they definitely won’t give it up as they don’t care about the effects on the rest of us
