Steam has the Early Access section on the product page for a reason:

Save and exit to desktop straight away with no going back to the main menu before. I’m looking at you Dark Souls series! It’s like the developers have never used a computer for anything not related to writing code before.
TBH if the person has a laptop I don’t blame them. Those can be an absolute hell to wrangle into giving you access to the boot menu. Some won’t even let you select the boot device and require that you edit the boot order from BIOS instead! You also might have to disable secure boot if your distro of choice doesn’t support it - and I bet even with Windows 11 requiring it 95% of people have no idea that it even exists as an option.
Would jury-rigging Wraithguard be booting a live USB and trying to fix the system yourself?

Steam specifically designed the system to make it easier for developers to handle pricing for multiple regions, and in their SteamWorks documentation on pricing for developers in the Regional Pricing Recommendations section they say:
“All of these factors have driven us towards the commitment to refresh these price suggestions on a much more regular cadence, so that we’re keeping pace with economic changes over time.”
yet their suggested pricing has not changed since the program was introduced in 2022. If they don’t want to commit to keeping the pricing up to date, as they themselves promise, then retire the program and make publishers set the price themselves on every game.

I don’t really care what they do, I just want them to do ANYTHING. Either update the regional pricing more regularly or just get rid of the damned thing and let me pay in USD/EUR. There are some rare publishers that will actually go out of their way to manually set the regional pricing to make it reasonable but most of them just follow the default suggested Steam one leading to massively overpriced games. I’m Polish and at this point I only buy games on sales, the final price still often comes close to what the game would cost me in USD/EUR without any sale.
Edit: Valve themselves specifically says in their SteamWorks documentation on pricing for developers
All of these factors have driven us towards the commitment to refresh these price suggestions on a much more regular cadence, so that we’re keeping pace with economic changes over time.
and yet the prices remain the exact same since they introduced the Regional Pricing Recommendations in 2022.
Skyrim’s followers have a maximum carry weight and won’t let you trade them any items after they exceed it. That is, if you TRADE them the items! You can just Hold E/talk to them and go into interaction mode and order them to pick up things from the ground. They will happily do so without complains regardless of their carry weight status, extremely helpful for collecting a bunch of dwemer junk to smelt down into ingots for smithing - those things are heavy!
I just checked and Dolphin very much has that feature, the wording in English might not be exactly the same as I have the UI in my native language but I found it in the hamburger menu under Sort by>Other>File extension.

www.youtube.com# hides Shorts from the YT Subscriptions page, very useful if like me you don’t care about those.
Outside of that I strongly recommend checking out uBlock’s medium mode for anyone who wants a much stronger non-filterlist dependant protection at the cost of minor inconvenience.

This is a completely different thing, Steam is dropping support for 32bit operating systems. Fedora hasn’t had a 32bit release since version 31. What that proposal was about was dropping 32bit packages, which would break old 32bit games (and Steam itself, as it relies on a lot of 32bit libraries as well).

Don’t shoot the messenger, they’re just citing the “workaround” from the article. The article also mentions using uBlock but only after writing two paragraphs convincing you that Premium is totally the solution to go with.

Thank you for your reply! One of my favourite aspects of Morrowind is how I can just walk up to a random NPC and ask them about a generic thing like directions to a place I have to get to, local services available, important NPCs or just their trade or a little secret or advice (and how those act as a soft tutorial with useful gameplay tips often being mentioned). If you actually plan to implement and voice most of these I bow before your ambitions!

I’m actually not that excited about Skywind myself as base Morrowind already has such a lively modding scene that is impossible to migrate over. With OpenMW, Tamriel Rebuilt and Project Cyrodiil the game just keeps getting better and better with time. I fully acknowledge that this is a very subjective opinion but I also feel like Morrowind doesn’t translate over to a Skyrim-style gameplay nearly as well as Oblivion does. So much dialogue and random NPC banter will have to be cut out if they want to voice act every single NPC like they to plan to do.
Worry not, I already played it long ago! I’m patiently and eagerly waiting for them to release the Mod of The Decade edition to re-play it again, I’ll definitely try the city guard path and I’m very excited to see what the teased water mage path will be.
I finished my second playthrough of Drova - Forsaken Kin (wanted to see both of the camps + experience the new content added with the last patch) somewhat recently and it gave me the itch to go back and replay the first two games from the Gothic series. I’m already done with Night of the Raven and making my way through the first game now. Getting them to run smoothly on Linux was a bit of a process but other than that they still hold up incredibly well, at least in my incredibly biased view.

That’s just miniature spears with a fancy propelling mechanism! More proof long stick with pointy end is the superior weapon!

The eye opening moment is when one of these threads touches on a subject you know a lot about and the top upvoted comment is spouting complete bullshit. See it once and you start to doubt the credibility of every other highly upvoted comment that looks legit but could be just as wrong, you simply don’t know enough to immediately disprove it.
Extremely rare SFW Oglaf!
I always summoned Solaire to help me through that fight. Jolly cooperation to even the odds!
I gotta give a shout-out to Scary Game Squad on Jesse Cox’s channel, they are my favourite when it comes to horror games. It’s a good old let’s play too, so no chat to worry about!
